"A warm sunny, but breezy day, we set off from Garrigill village on a long trek across the moors to 3 peaks, - Cross Fell 893m, the highest point on the Pennine chain of hills and Great Dun Fell and Little Dun Fell. On our return we took the back road and saw Cross Fell with snow on the higher slopes and sun on the lower hillside.
